No longer need to leave the house, paint models, or interact on a human level.

It might be useful for trying out your decks.

for me a big part of gaming is the physical pushing models around and the social interactions... I'm not sure this would be for me to be honest lol

Same for me. It’s the social interaction and the hobby element that has the most appeal. Still cool to play online in the week every now and then though

I’d imagine this will involve copious amounts of micro transactions...

Not for me, I’d rather get out the house and do some social gaming.

I tried the Bloodbowl online game a couple of years ago, it just wasn’t the same, you take away the mini  and the face to face social element and there’s not much left worth experiencing.

According to the sales pitch. It's one of payment with 4 warbands then additional £ for each warband. But you do get free cards.

Could be good for the winter nights when the EBU is freezing cold

I agree with the comments about social interaction /pushing miniatures around. That's something that you can't recreate online, no matter how good the experience. It's those "real world experiences" that make the hobby, and probably explains why gw's financial results are very good when the rest of the high street appears to be struggling. I'll play the xbox games (I'm thinking space hulk tactics and the necromunda game when it lands) but nothing replaces a good table top wargame or painting session - my 2 cents.
