Painting fur
« on: May 22, 2018, 08:25:21 PM »
Painting fur is hard.

I had a really nice orange going for tiger skins on my vanguard hunters. But the rough fur surface made painting the stripes a nightmare. Many touchups needed but this was the end result.

I wouldnt recommend painting likw this on sculpted fur. Very frustrating :(

Fur is hard.  If you dry brush it looks powdery.  I find I need a bit of a wet brush.

I watered the black down about 3:1, then added a little brown paint, on the stripes on my cloaks, then over two or three coats it blended in nicely.
