White Armour?
« on: January 23, 2018, 12:16:55 PM »
Just wondering if anyone has tried painting white armour, also what methods they used/ tips/ thoughts etc ?

Have looked at a few videos on youtube and there seems to be a few different methods.

What’s your latest purchase?

I use a very effective and easy method to paint white.

Base of Ulthan grey
Wash with watered down nuln oil
Re highlight main areas with Ulthan grey
Gradually mix in white to the grey and apply on raised areas in lighter tones
Final highlight on edges pure white

Thanks guys those sound good.  :)

Seems like there are half a dozen different tutorials on youtube. I find some of them a bit tedious to watch. I'm not sure I have the patience
to pull of some of the longer methods to be honest.

I'm working towards doing a Custodes/Talons of the Emperor army. One of the alternate colour schemes is white armour with gold ornaments and red fabrics, I thought this would look really cool, and be a bit more challenging than the standerd gold scheme.
