Regular board game night?
« on: November 07, 2017, 01:58:22 PM »
All the talk of board games is making me think we should try and do a regular board game night, either at the club or outside of it. What do people think?

Well it certainly looks like we could sort something out. Shall we try for a game in December, say 8th or 15th maybe?

Cheeky thread necromancy ahoy!

Having just moved to Shrewsbury I’d be mad keen for a regular or even irregular board game night.  My collection is currently spilling out of the cupboards and I fear a few will find their way to charity shops in the near future let the Wrath of The Mrs unfurl.

I’m unsure if anything came of this thread in person at the club but if people let me know on here that’d be fab else I’ll try to get to the next gaming night or the one after.

Hello and welcome :)

We have one here and there, but will let you know when next one is organised :)

You tried shadespire at all? It is a great cross between miniature and board gaming, and is a fantastic game to boot. It has taken off massively at the club, so you wouldn’t be short of players if you wanted to join in

Would people be interested in spending a day playing board games or making time on a open day to play board games?

Or I could ask if we could book the hall for an afternoon/morning on a weekend?

I never looked downstairs but I wonder if one of those rooms might be more cosy/comfortable to play in?

rather than posting on the other thread as well...

I'd suggest the same for roleplaying, but I imagine it would be too noisy/distracting?

Maybe if we moved tables out of the second room a group could rp in there?
