Do feel this is a good way for publicity, and as long as the mats are returned for the following Friday. Dont see any reason why not.

To be fair, defently got it all in one there Archie.

There is lots of tournament around with d6 and glass hammer. So events would be a welcome chance for a more social side of the game

Coming up in 3 weeks with list deadlines in just over a week. I am still planning on going to this if anyone interested in a fun tournament and would like a lift.

its a combo of all three really compared to the other hoard army's.

Do find the debates funny through what i been reading, at element games in 2.5 hours (well think it was that long) my opponent had time to go outside for a smoke and still finished with time to spare in 2000 points.

yes, neither of us were a hoard list, but its not like we were 4 large models either.

Personally never had a problem finishing a game in the time limit, though can see where it would be a problem.

The interesting thing is, the points went up to 2000 because the index's were fairly highly costed. but all the codex's seem to have points drops. so maybe its worth looking at the points level again and maybe reintroducing 1850 again.

Funny enough it's eternal war missions which were played. Which allowed the orc player to put all his hoards on as many objectives as possible and hold them till turn 3

1850 for as far as I been playing. Probably been 1500 in one edition though was before all the big models came in

In 2000 points orks just won a tournament because they never got past turn 3 because of slow playing

Think 1750 you could fit in a knight but will impact your list to make it a decision.

Do think 1500 would be fun as casual games but think it completely rules out options too. Kind of the reverse scenario of 2000 points

As timing seems to be a problem, GW have knocked the points level to 1750 instead of 2000 to help games finish on time. If this follows trend in independent events is yet to be seen. But am curious on what every One else's thoughts are on this?
